Surrealist Animation for Magritte (2025)

Motion Design • Illustration • Animation
Concept Proposal • Art Gallery of New South Wales (Fictional) • 2025

Overview

Révész created a 15-second motion graphic promoting the René Magritte exhibition at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Developed as a conceptual advertising piece, all visual assets were illustrated in Adobe Illustrator using Magritte's paintings as references before being animated in Adobe After Effects.

Layered symbolism, unexpected transitions, and atmospheric sound design evoke the dreamlike logic and subtle sense of disruption that characterise Magritte's work.

Created as part of a university design project, this concept proposal is independent of and not affiliated with the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
